K9 Best Friends Forever (K9BFF), located in California (Fresno and Redding), rescues and adopts at-risk dogs throughout California. They rescue small dogs only, but assist in re-homing others. They are a 501c3 non-profit corporation, and have been in business since October 2007. K9BFF needs a website, but doesn’t have the first clue how to accomplish that, and hasn’t been able to afford to hire someone to do it. Anyone who is interested in helping them create a website can call or email:

Paraiso Felino is a no-kill cat ranch in San Juan Abajo. It was started by a woman and her mother who bought some land with the idea of building a real shelter for the legions of abused, neglected, and unwanted cats in the Bay of Banderas. Currently they house more than 80 cats on their two lots and are trying to raise money for the foundation of the new building. They don’t charge an adoption fee and all cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and dewormed before adoption.
Volunteer Robin Noelle has been working on providing copy for a new website for Paraiso Felino, and Sarah Marie Thompson has designed the org’s new logo. “Working with Robin to facilitate the awareness of Paraiso Felino was really rewarding and I would not have been able to have this experience without the help of CreativePAW. When you give a little, you get a lot back in return,” says Thompson. The site is not live yet, but when it goes up I’ll be sure to post a link here.

When I wrote to the Princeton Animal Welfare Society about creativePAW, they greeted the info with open arms. They ended up asking creativePAW member Missy Bergen to craft a great new website for them. “Missy Bergen did a fabulous site for PAWS!” says PAWS president Jenny Palmer. “We found Missy through creativePAW and her interests and skills were exactly what we needed for this project. We were lucky enough that she agreed to do it! Missy was extremely professional and helpful. We are thrilled with the result. The website will help us stay better connected with our members and the general public.”
Thanks to Missy and all the wonderful volunteers who have signed up for creativePAW. If you’re an animal welfare org and would like a site as nice as PAWS’ new site — or a brochure, newsletter, or anything else creative — please sign up to search our database of volunteer web desigers, editors, graphic designers, editors, illustrators, and more!
